Again,Fire Displaces 200 Students Of GSS Gboko

Mysterious fire yesterday, razed the male hostel of the Government Secondary School, Gboko Benue State, displacing over two hundred students.

The fire incident is happening barely two days after a mysterious fire razed shops at Gboko modern market.

Our correspondent gathered that more than two hundred students of the school were affected in the fire which started at about 8:30 am, razing the Green and Orange houses of the Male hostel.

It was further gathered that the fire also destroyed cash, foodstuffs, JAMB, WAEC, NECO documents and other belongings to some students that are preparing for their examinations.

Also, part of the red house of the Male hostel was partly affected in the incident.

The school Principal, Francis Iorfa Tarkumbur who spoke with newsmen, said that no nobody was hurt or killed in the fire incident because the occupants of the hostel were in classrooms at the time of the incident.

According to him, the cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be officially established.

But some students attributed it to power surge and fluctuations that was experienced in the school premises at the time.
